1997 Geo Prizm

The 1997 Geo Prizm is a 4-door front-wheel drive base sedan with the capacity seating for five persons. Prizm is featuring the 1.6-liter I-4 DOHC SMPI 16-valve unleaded engine with electronic ignition and 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive. It handles quite well but not that impressive. High speed cornering would give pain to its tires, and the optional power steering seems inaccurate although goes firmer on turns. For a subcompact vehicle, its ride comfort is remarkable, but will surely jolt on rough road. The very impressive thing about Geo Prizm is that it won't spread the news when it goes on road.

 

 

 

Prizm features stainless steel exhaust, manual rack and pinion steering, frint disc and rear drum brakes with front vented discs, front independent suspension, front strut suspension, and front coil springs. Also included are the rear independent suspension, rear coil springs, front and rear 14.0'"x 5.50" silver styled steel wheels and inside cargo mounted compact spare tire. The power assisted steering and the door trim panels with map pockets are the new features added for this car.

 

The interior of Geo Prizm displays long list of cool items such as bucket front seats, adjustable front head restraints, 4-way adjustable driver and passenger seat with manual reclining, manual for and aft, rear bench seats, rear head restraints, cloth faced front seats with vinyl side and back, cloth door trim set, full cloth headliner, and full carpet floor covering. You can also find features that will ensure your safety. There's the daytime running lights and center high mounted stop light, dual airbags, and front height adjustable seatbelts. The side impact door beams that comply with 1997 dynamic side impact safety standards are also included. The exterior part of the Prizm has a fully galvanized steel body metal with black body-side molding, side, front and rear window moldings, so as handles, dual outside mirrors and grilles. Other colors available for the Geo Prizm are canyon Red Mica Metallic, Apricot Ice Mica Metallic, Midnight Emerald Metallic and Lavender Pearl Metallic.

 

Varis oouptions are also offered in the 1997 Geo Prizm, including the AM/Fm stereo with compact disc player, 4-wheel anti lock brakes, power windows and door locks, and tachometer. The LSi model on the other hand includes standard tilt steering wheel and full wheel covers, while the option is a Convenience Package that now has included power door lock switch to the front passenger door, cruise control, power windows and power door locks.
