2001 Geo Prizm
Since 1998 the Geo Prizm was changed into Chevrolet. It is manufactured at NUMMI
assembly plant in Fremont, California through the joint venture of General Motors
and Toyota. Prizm is among the lowest priced vehicles in its class, with women
as three quarters of its buyers. The 2001 Geo Prizm model features the rear child
seats lower anchors and an in-trunk emergency release handle. Also included is
the addition of medium red metallic exterior color. It also has three and four-speed
automatic transmissions offered as optional. Other options included are ABS brakes,
sunroof and CD player. The power windows and power door locks are optional for
the Base but standard for LSi, so as the cassette player. Driver and passenger
airbags are both available for the LSi and Base.
?Prizm doesn't have much to show with acceleration or thrill, but it can do its
job well enough. It features the 5-speed manual shift that can move remarkably
through traffic. The standard engine for the Base and LSi is a 1.8-liter, generating
125 horsepower at 5800 rpm and a torque of 125 at 4000 rpm. The standard suspension
allows the tires to run out of grip on winds experiencing moderate body lean.
The LSi on the other hand holds on the road better due to a handling package but
mildly affects the ride quality.
