2002 Geo Prizm
2002 Prizm is not anymore Geo, Chevrolet instead. It is manufactured at the assembly
plant of New United Motor Manufacturing Incorporated or NUMMI in Fremont, California,
with the joint venture of Toyota and General Motors. Prizm is an affordable vehicle
that displays just enough power. Mostly of its buyers are women, nearly 75 percent.
Prizm base and LSi both feature the 1.8-liter engine that generates125 horsepower
at 5800 rpm and a torque of 125 pound per feet at 4000 rpm. Transmissions available
include 3-speed automatic, 4-speed automatic overdrive and 5-speed automatic overdrive.
Featured items include sunroof, air conditioning unit, power windows, power door
locks, cassette player, CD player, driver and passenger side airbags, and ABS
brakes. The Prizm has a good handling and remarkable ride quality. However, high
speed cornering will give pain to its tires creating body lean. The economy car
as it is known has developed such attributes after undergoing complete redesign.
